Somebody needs to stop me
First it was the NY Times Bento slideshow.
Which then led to the insane Luxirare Bento.
Dialed it down a notch with Happy Little Bento.
I read the Times article a month or two ago but cruised the other sights way too late last night.
Today, sans cute bento boxes and proper accoutrement, armed only with what I had on hand, I made my first Bento for mine and Atti's lunch.
Sorry, my little digital Canon is taking such fuzzy pics.
Atti's is avo, scallion and sweet potato sushi, carrots, steamed asparagus and Isreali cous cous made with roasted butternut, shallots, raisins, fennel and sage. He liked it.
Mine is rye bread, albacore, sweet potato and my sweet pickles "rolls", cous cous, asparagus, sweet potato and scallion sushi and some carrots for garnish.
Nobody needs to give me crap about what real "sushi" or a "roll" is either.
These were fun, I think I am going to make more!

This made me smile. I wish I had time to play with my food this evening.
I'm with you--eschewing feminism? It's *heartbreaking*.
